Every once in a while I get a chance to spend a day with my mom and my daughter. Three generations of just the girls. This was just such a day. Cloudy and a little cool for San Diego, we spent a day orbiting the Ocean Beach Pier and decided to finally try the Ocean Beach Pier Cafe after talking about it for the past ten years (for those of you who were wondering, everything we tried was really good; the chowder was a little thick for my liking but I would probably order it again). We strolled through the farmer’s market and munched on fresh strawberries, fled from the cold waves creeping up the beach as the tide came in and watched the surfers do what can only described as dance. And this was that day.
